1. LOCATION AND TOPOGRAPHY
Sta. Cruz Integrated School is located in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Sta. Maria Pangasinan, a municipality in the Philippines. It is positioned approximately 8 kilometers away from the town center. The school can be found at Sta. Cruz, Sta. Maria, Pangasinan, around 7.5 kilometers from the main town area. The Lagasit River runs behind the school, serving as the boundary between Sta. Maria and Umingan. Originally known as Sta. Cruz Elementary School, the institution now occupies a generous land area of 20,000 square meters, which was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Gonzales. It comprises eight buildings. Sta. Cruz is situated at approximately 15.9434, 120.7193, on the island of Luzon. The elevation at these coordinates is estimated to be 44.3 meters or 145.3 feet above mean sea level.

2. POPULATION
a. FACULTY AND STAFF
Over the span of 30 years, from 1990 to 2020, the population of Barangay Sta. Cruz experienced growth, increasing from 751 individuals to 1,005 individuals. This represents a total increase of 254 people. According to the latest census in 2020, the population exhibited a positive growth rate of 0.81%, with an additional 38 people compared to the previous count of 967 in 2015.
At Sta. Cruz Integrated School, the faculty is composed of dedicated educators who are committed to providing high-quality education and support to the students. The faculty members include 8 elementary teachers, 13 junior high school teachers, 4 senior high school teachers, and 1 guidance counselor. Mr. Eduardo C. Oliver serves as the SHS Assistant Principal II, providing capable leadership to the school. Additionally, Mr. Eduardo Caligan Oliver holds the position of Officer-in-charge/SHS Assistant Principal II. The school is also fortunate to have Mrs. Hayde M. The Key to Success and Gratitude for My Alma Mater
“Education is the key to success”. I always remember this simple quotation especially when my teachers always telling me that I need to be good in studies because that`s the only wealth our parents can give to us.
Yes, this simple message always very comforting and encouraging to me. As a former student, we need to be serious in our studies. We need to obey our parents and teachers. We need to value their sacrifices in giving us advices and sharing new ideas to become a competitive person of today.
17 years ago, we leaved our dear Alma Mater, we continued upholding the school`s reputation. We are sad at the time that we leaved the place where we shared a lot of memories. I remember when I first came to this school, I was really challenged to strive in my studies and at the same time, hone my talents. I really owe this school for letting me not only good in academics but also becoming more talented person. The promise of this school is worth enduring and very useful.
We leaved this school but we are sure enough that we continued upholding its reputation and renounce its glory. We never forget this school because we shared a lot of memories. We moved forward and continued what we have started.
To my dear Alma Mater, we owe and adore you. Your name will always ring to the sweetest rhapsody because we love and glorify you. The fountain of knowledge you gave is our aid to fulfill what we have today. We are very grateful that we become predecessors of goodwill in this school.

A Journey of Gratitude: My Beloved School, Shaping Me into Who I Am Today
I entered inside your huge gates as a tiny tot of three and a half, holding my parents` hands. The sudden familiarity and comforts of the home were soon replaced by strange faces all around. I never could understand why my parents had to leave me with you every day and then pick me up after some time. As the A-B-C-Ds and the 1-2-3s started sinking into my mind, I realized that it wasn`t that bad after all to spend some time in the company of strangers!
Within a year, I was made to understand that you were to be a part of my life for many more years. Though it is difficult to fathom what that actually meant at that time, the picture became pretty clear when I saw the Report Card at the end of each year.
I am grateful to you for all of the sweet and sour memories that I have had with you that have played a crucial role of shaping me into what I am today. It goes without saying that I am grateful to you for having such expert teachers who instilled the subject knowledge into me. I still remember some of those difficult formulae of Mathematics and those experiments in the Chemistry lab which would invariably end up with someone breaking the test tube resulting in severe reprimanding.
And yes, these days, when I see people going crazy for physical fitness regimens, I often remember the compulsory PT (Physical Training) classes each week, which we would often look for convincing excuses to skip. I find many of those exercises I did at school then, in the fitness training modules today. A salute for incorporating such ageless fitness regimens!
I am grateful to you my dear school for training me with the universal language and the Filipino language so well. I can vouch for every student that our English and Filipino speaking, writing and reading abilities are among the best.
I am grateful to you for the discipline and values that you have imparted, that actually made you one of the best in our Municipality. Rules were a bit too harsh, I must admit. But they have molded and made me.
As I am grateful to you, I am so much grateful to my parents for introducing me to you – one of the best decisions they have taken for me!

I am the valedictorian of class 2002-2003.
It was an absolute honor for me to be a part of STA. CRUZ ELEMENTARY SCHOOL now STA. CRUZ INTEGRATED SCHOOL. I am also thankful to all the teachers who have done so many things for us and for the institution as well. They did not only molded our lives into perfect shape but also made us good human beings.
All your teachings and guidance have been of great value. Though you were very strict with disciplines, you were friends to us as well and that is the reason why we got to learn so many valuable things from all of you.
Even after leaving our Alma Mater, I still carry on the good habits that you have imparted to us. Your kindness and generosity were also worth mentioning. I still remember how happy the teachers used to be whenever our school received awards and you reward us too in return. I feel so lucky to be part of this school and be under your guidance. I promised myself before to come back to serve my Alma Mater.

4. Brief History and Creation
Sta. Cruz Integrated School: Providing Quality Education in Sta. Maria Pangasinan
Sta. Cruz Integrated School, formerly known as Sta. Cruz Elementary School, is a distinguished educational institution located in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Sta. Maria Pangasinan. Situated on a sprawling land area of 20,000 square meters, generously donated by Mr. and Mrs. Gonzales, the school is approximately 8 kilometers away from the town center.
The school's rich history dates back to the year 1934 when Dr. Pedro T. Orata spearheaded the establishment of Sta. Cruz Community School, which served as the first-ever barangay school in Sta. Maria. Recognizing the importance of providing quality education, the school expanded its offerings by establishing the first barrio high school in the area in the school year 1951-1952, known as Sta. Cruz Barrio High School. As the barrios transitioned to the term "barangay," the school's name changed to Sta. Cruz Barangay High School in 1966. During this time, the total enrollment was a modest 24 students, with six elementary teachers and four high school teachers.
Over the years, the educational landscape in Sta. Maria evolved, with the opening of various high schools in neighboring barangays. Consequently, in 1970, the school underwent a transformation, closing its secondary department and renaming itself Sta. Cruz Elementary School.
In 2011, thanks to the initiative of Atty. Marlyn Primicias-Agabas, the representative of the 6th District of Pangasinan, Sta. Cruz Integrated School was established. Since its inception, the school has been committed to meeting the educational needs of students in the surrounding barangays, providing both elementary and secondary education in compliance with the K to 12 Curriculum.
Recognizing the school's growth and expanded educational offerings, the Sangguniang Bayan passed Ordinance No. 11-05, officially renaming the institution as Sta. Cruz Integrated School, a fitting tribute to its integrated and comprehensive approach to education.
Throughout its history, Sta. Cruz Integrated School has been led by several dedicated and visionary school heads. Presently, under the leadership of Mr. Eduardo C. Oliver, SHS Assistant Principal II, the school is experiencing a period of unprecedented success. The student body comprises 219 elementary learners, 218 junior high school learners, and 86 senior high school learners pursuing academic tracks such as General Academic Strand (GAS) and Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS).
